Job Description


KAUAI BEACH RESORT 4331 Kauai Beach Dr Lihue, HI 96766


Position Summary:


Ensure Guests are treated with an Aloha Spirit, accurately, and efficiently. To serve as the "front line" personnel to the guest in handling problems, complaints, information needs and to show the guest the degree of high level service we provide.


Responsibilities:



  • Check in and out all guests as courteously and effectively as possible.

  • Accurate accounting of guest and bank accounts during shift.

  • Accurately handle the basic functions of PBX.

  • Responsible for knowledge regarding groups, VIP's, transients, special events.

  • Monitor lobby for non-hotel guests.

  • Keeping the Front Office supplied and clean

  • Communicate and follow-up with appropriate department to address rooms that require attention from Housekeeping or Maintenance.

  • Perform other related duties as requested by Management.


Requirements:



  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.



  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.

  • High school education and relevant training and experience required. Additional education preferred.

  • Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.

  • Must be able to convey information clearly.

  • Must be computer literate.

  • Detail-oriented, ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Some experience in or any background in customer service.

  • Prior front desk or reservation experience. Adaptable experience with travel industry reservation systems and hotel property management systems essential, standard Microsoft Office tools essential, knowledge of database system development preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
