Job Description Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit medical center dedicated to providing the Kauai community with accessible quality health care.
The largest medical center on Kauai, it is a state-of-the-art acute care facility with a full suite of services offering 30 specialties and programs, including cardiology, emergency, family practice, gastroenterology, health management, internal medicine, neurology, OB-GYN, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and urology.
Its 18-bed emergency department serves as the islands Primary Stroke Center.
The medical center also has four birthing suites, seven intensive care beds and 20 same-day surgery beds.
Wilcox is the first American College of Surgeons-verified Level III Trauma Center in the state of Hawaii.
Wilcox is part of Hawaii Pacific Health, one of the states leading health care systems and a not-for-profit health care organization with medical centers, clinics, physicians and other caregivers working together to create a healthier Hawaii.
The Security team provides security, information, directions and escort service to patients and staff as needed, while adhering to policies and regulations regarding safety.
As Security Officers patrol Hawaii Pacific Health facilities, they are often the first to meet and greet our clients, which positions the communitys experience at our facility in a positive way.
The Security team plays a vital role in creating a sense of safety and security throughout our hospitals, which is important to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities include providing protection and security for facility personnel, patients, visitors, and property through security and safety patrols, crisis intervention, investigation into minor crimes and accidents, and serving as a visual deterrent to potential problem situations.
You will participate in safety programs and provide support to all departments.

Qualifications:
High School or equivalent.
International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) Basic Healthcare Security Officer Training Certificate to be obtained within one year of hire.
Crisis Prevention and Intervention Certification to be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
Current American Heart Association Heartsaver-AED CPR card.

Hospital security experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
